Nepal is the well known destination for trekking and adventure. With the highest mountain peaks above 8,000m, trekking is an ideal activity taking you to the Himalayas. Mardi Himal is a newly-opened trekking trail and not so much popular as other trekking trails in Annapurna region. During the trek, you will hike to the base camp of Mardi Himal (5588 meters) situated just east of the Annapurna Base Camp. Before 2011, the trekking trail was operated in camping base but nowdays there are many tea houses accessible on the route to Mardi Himal Base Camp.

Mardi Himal offers as much other trekking trail does - the rhododendron forests, culture, beautiful panoramic views and rocky mountain terrain. Apart of these, the trek offers the spectacular views of Mountains like Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhare and Hiunchuli.

Mardi Himal Trek starts just from Pokhara following the route Phedi, forest camp, Deurali, Mardi Himal base Camp, High Camp, Lwang, Phedi, Sidhing and finally Pokhara. To complete this trekking route, it takes 7-8 days.

From mid September to November and from March to May are the best season for this trek as these are the peak trekking seasons in Nepal. During winter season and monsoon season, there will be risky. There will be chances of snow fall during winter time and during the monsoon season, there might be risk of leeches and heavy rainfall that might causes flood and landslides in the Himalayas.
