Where is Poon Hill?
At an elevation of 3210m high from sea level, Poon Hill is situated in northern part of Pokhara, West North of Kathmandu City in Annapurna Trekking Area conserved within Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP).

What type of accommodations are available during Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek?
Tea houses lodge type of accommodations are available in Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek. Most of the lodges have a shared bathroom and You might need to pay extra charge for hot water shower.


What is the fitness level for Poon Hill Trekking?
As it is the short and easy trekking trail, every trekkers group (Old age people and Children) can do this trekking. But you need to have at least walking habit ups and downs the hillside. There is a steep up and down trail from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani about 7-8 hours of walking.


How many guides and porters will be there in a group?
For a group of at least two foreign tourist, you will be provided 1 language specific trekking guide and 1 porter to carry your baggage. As per the group size, supporting staff vary during the trekking.

Do you provide any trekking equipments needed for this trek?
No, you need to buy the required trekking gears and equipments. You may hire or buy them either in Kathmandu or Pokhara, choice is upon you.

How and what kind of food do you provide during trekking to Poon Hill?
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will be provided in package. The meal will be Dal Bhat as the Lunch and Dinner while in breakfast will be normal as tea/coffee/juice, bread and eggs. You can also expect Soft drinks and beer at your own cost.

How about the Altitude Sickness, is there any risk?
No, as the poon hill lie in low altitude, there is no risk of altitude sickness. But you should be careful if you have any diseases of lungs, hearts, head.

What should I do if I got ill during trekking?
You should consult our trekking guide as soon as possible. For simple cases, he/she can help you but in major cases (emergency), you will be rescued.

What is the best time for trekking to Poon Hill?
Poon Hill Trekking can be done all the time in a year but from mid september to mid November and march to May are the best months for unforgettable trekking experience. During monsoon time, there will be risk of leeches on the trail and risk of slipery trekking path. During winter time, carry warm cloths.

What is the standard Trekking Itinerary?
Ghorepani Poon Hill trekking is of 5-8 days package but we have 11 days kathmandu to kathmandu tour package including Kathmandu Sightseeing.
